Soup, Sandwiches, easy to eat stuff. Nothing too hot or spicy because these will irritate your piercing in the early stages of healing. Avoid dairy products, milk, sour cream, ice cream, yogurt as these will leave a residue on your tongue that can increase the swelling. Good things like freezies, slushies, popsicles are fine and will help aid in controlling the swelling. We are talking about the first 24~48 hours when the swelling may be at it's worst, once we get past that point it's pretty easy and you can start eating a bit more normally. Chamomile tea made into ice cubes is another good option, chamomile is a nature anti inflamitory and doesn't taste too bad either.

I got snake bite's and with in a few hours i was able to eat. not comfortably but able. the main issue i find was biting the bar and the pain associated with doing so. other than that, I'd avoid spicy food, bread (sandwich's) weren't the best type of food personally. Mainly because of the pressure of biting down on it. Some people are probably okay tho. I mainly ate crushed noodles, meats, MASH potato was good, and ect.

Your piercer should have recommended a anti-bacterial spray or some type of remedies. If not the best thing to do is look up a saline solution which I'm pretty sure is a basic warm water/cold water with sea or rock salt. Don't use iodized. You should wash your mouth with the solution, water or non-alcoholic mouth wash after every meal for the first 2months or so.

Best of luck! Hope something here helps :D

Right after you get your tongue pierced it is acceptable to eat, it's just difficult and would be easier to begin eating foods that do not require chewing. Such as applesauce and mashed potatoes. However, as soon as you are comfortable chewing (probably a day or two) you can begin to eat whatever foods you can chew. At first you should probably avoid life savors, cheerios, and spaghetti O's because they can loop around your tongue ring and temporarily get stuck.

However, once the piercing has healed there isn't anything you can't eat. I've had mine done for almost nine years and run into very few challenges eating. I can recall certain stickier chewing gum getting stuck on the jewelry, however most gum doesn't cause a problem.

Soup is pretty good. You can try smoothies too, you just have to use a spoon since sucking on the straw could be painful. Plus, the smoothie being cold helps relieve swelling and tenderness. Mashed potatoes might be too thick and if you eat noodles, make sure to cut them up. If you dont, they can get wrapped around the jewelry and just be a pain to deal with. Definitely stay away from spicy foods. Even if you can chew more solid foods at first, resist the urge. It could delay healing so just wait until most of the swelling is gone.

Common sense, you want to eat easy going foods like soups and sandwiches for the first few days, something that doesn't involve a lot of chewing. Just be sure the foods are not too hot or to heavily spiced as high temperatures and heavy seasoning can annoy the new piercing and promote swelling. Cold stuff as much as possible, cold water to sip when smoking. Use of mouth washes should be kept to twice a day only {in the morning after brushing and at night after brushing (don't brush your tongue)}.

How long can't a peron eat pork after getting their tongue pierced?

Myself just getting my tongue pierced three weeks ago. It was hard for me to eat the first day but after that I could eat whatever I wanted, the time I took to eat it was different. Like the second day I had it done I ate a hamburger just the meat part of it, and that took me like twenty min to eat, just had to eat it in tiny bits. For me once the swelling went down which was about three or four days after I was able to eat anything.
