I don't have pics ,but, the PVC on my 99 Si is at the back of the engine between the oil filter and the engine.very difficult to change and see.the oil filter should be removed to make it easier.my engine is D16Y8.I imagine yours is the same.
1.8 Liter in an American 1998 Accord??? Not likely as that engine was not installed in the 1998. The 4 cylinder was a 2.3 liter and the V6 was a 3.0 liter. Click the link and pick the correct engine in your Accord.

2 locations possible, either behind the block by oil filter there is a black plastic box, it is connected by a rubber hose, and the other location is the easier one, it could be on the intake manifold between the first and second cylinder channels, just track the black rubber hose( big vaccuum one,most likely running from the front of the intake manifold)! and Google for pics as a pic is worth a 1000 words and also i recommend replacing with a new Honda oem, no aftermarket as they are not engine specific but Honda ones are!

go onto eBay and type in subaru turbo impreza engine then you will have a few pics to look at.

Unbolt it and the thermostat is inside.
