If your car was repossessed, you can't really keep it, since you no longer have it.
If you act very quickly (I'm suggest calling the lienholder the instant you know the car is gone), you might be able to recover it before it's sold to someone else. At the very least you should expect to have to make any missed payments good immediately; if it wasn't a simple case of one missed payment in an otherwise spotless repayment history, the lienholder might well insist that you pay off the loan in its entirety.
In other words: it's possible, it's just not terribly likely.
Yes, your car can be repossessed in any state if your contract was signed in Chicago. You can not move to a different state and keep your car without paying for it.
Well, if the title lists no lienholders, it cannot be repossessed. If it lists one, it would be best to surrender it or don't keep anything in it of value. Yes. Even if the lien is not recorded on the title, it hass probably still been filed with the state.
I have a welding machine on the truck they repossessed can they keep that?
No
A disabled person's vehicle can be repossessed just as any other person's vehicle can be repossessed. You must make all payments on your vehicle if you want to keep it.
IF you can pay it off AFTER it is sold, it will still show as a repo on your credit. BUT if you can payoff then, pay it off NOW and you get to keep the CAR.
Only if you intend to get it back.
Yes.
No Way. Its Your Stuff !
Keep driving it. Keep it insured. Maybe someday they will figure it out; so make sure you have an alternate means of transportation. I have a car that was "repossessed " in 2004. Still have it. Just want to get rid of it now. That is a REAL question.
No that's called stealing.....
Yes, your truck can be repossessed even if you are using it to earn an income, however, you can tell your creditor that you are earning money with your truck, and that if the creditor does not repossess the truck you will use that income to make payments on your loan. Of course, if you are not making payments, and spending all of your income on other things, then the creditor has no motive to let you keep the truck.
