Lucas also makes a synthetic engine oil additive..
Yes.
I do it. I use Mobile 1 fully synthetic oil and substitute a quart with the lucas oil. Been doing it for about 2 years and my cars still running like a champ, 01 Grand am. Got it with 35k miles and its up to 120k already.
either the thread on oil pan bolt is stripped or the washer on bolt needs replacing. easy fixonly oil additive i would recomend for any engine is LUCAS ENGINE OIL ADDITIVE
go to walmart buy "lucas oil additive or "restore"
yes you can synthetic oil can go in any engine
Yes, you can. It is even sold as a Synthetic Blend.
Yes! I used it in my 98 S420 MBZ. No Worries!
No, old oil can use synthetic engines
The best oil is oil with high zinc content which may be synthetic or regular with zinc additive. 10w-40 oil is the best weight. Amsoil makes a great oil with high zinc. At one time gasoline came with lead that would keep the engine & valves cooler & since this AMC-360 engine runs hot-this oil seems to help with the additive.
75w140 with Friction Modifier additive. Oil MUST be synthetic. Additive can be bought at your local Ford dealer. Or, you can pay a higher premium for Royal Purple oil, and according to their site, no additive is needed.
I use synthetic oil in my 2002 PT Cruiser, and it runs great! Synthetic costs a little more, but it actually better for your engine.
If your engine leaks oil, no you should not use synthetic oil because it will clean sludge and can make the leak worse. If your engine does not leak oil, I would highly recomend using synthetic oil(Pennzoil Ultra 10W30 from Walmart is a good and pretty cheap choice). As long as your engine does not leak oil using synthetic oil is a great choice regardless of how old it is.
Yes, you can mix them.
