Hi, Same person who asked question, let me re-ask.
Some facts first.
Bought car in summer, so never tried heat till now. Dont know if I bought this car with an existing problem.
Had leaky heater core, replaced heater core O-rings almost after buying car, never used heat before then.
Dont know if heater core leaked onto ECM, located directly under Heater Core
I drive to work with the heat on 80. About 30 min later, the heat cuts out and blows cool air. I'll turn the heat up incrementally to which the heat comes back on, but only for a few minutes, and goes cold again. The only way I will have constant heat is if I max the heat out on 90. If I turn it down to 89, it will blow cool again. Please help.
The directions came with your heater IF not contact the manufacturer
if the heater does not blow out warm air change the setting.
vent door will be open to what ever setting u set it on regardless of what temperature setting you are using
heater resister is bad
YOU SHOULD REPAIR YOUR HEATER EVERY 5 YEARS. IT IS GOOD TO CHECK YOUR HEATER MONTHLY TO MAKE SURE YOUR NOT WASTING ENERGY.NOT MAINTAING YOUR HEATER CAN ALSO CAUSE FIRE HAZZARDS.
Start the car, turn the heater/blower on full, The hose that is the hottest is the Inlet. The coolest is the Outlet.
Heater is not working in a 2002 ford foucs only work when fan setting is place in?
Your heater fan resistor module requires replacment
Have you turned the control from Pilot to On? Have you increased the temperature setting?
