Car stereo doesn't work on Y reg Peugeot 106 Zest Replaced stereo with sony stereo the yellow wire has dislodged and think it has shorted with red do you think fuse if so which 1 or something worse?

probably fuse but there may be problem inside radio try fuse first then pull apart radio and check inside where power comes in for melted terminal or internal fuse resolder it and check it out

It depends on weather it is in a parallel or series circuit. In parallel the entire circuit it is in parallel with is shorted out. In series the total resistance decreases by the amount of the resistor that shorted out. Resistors usually open or change value with use.
