Specifics will depend on model year and if you are referring to the front or rear brake rotors. But in most cases, you need to remove the caliper first, then the torque plate (bracket that holds the caliper), then the rotor can be removed. Many times, there could be a significant amount of corrosion that forms around the hub - may take quite a bit of effort to free a stuck rotor, in those cases. A quality penetrating fluid and a couple of whacks with a mallet can help.
heat and a heavy hammer the larger the better
take the lug nuts off while you have the car jacked up loosen the nut with a tie in it. FIRST TAKE THE TIE OUT then the rotors should come off. To put back do the same process backwards. ITS REALLY EASY
start by taking the tires off
take off calipers and pull the rotors off the hub
take wheels off, remove brake calipers. rotors slide right off.
With the wheel off, remove the calipers, then the rotors just come off.
How do u take off a door speaker in a 1998 corolla
take brakes off and calipers off, next rotors should come off easily.
Pull the tires off and take the brake calipers off and the rotors will pull off.
Remove wheels Remove 2 caliper mounting bolts Slide caliper off rotors Rotors should slide off hub
First jack your Corolla up,( I recommend you use Jack stands for your safety and others ) take off the front wheels. Using a size 14mm Socket, loosen/ remove the bolts holding the caliper assmebly to your rotor ( you would go about this the same way as if you were changing your brakes). When calipers are off place it on top of the brake dust cover making sure it wont fall off. Then using a 17mm socket, undo the main caliper assembly (held on by 2 bolts) and remove simply pull out the old rotor towards you it should just come right off. if not use a rubber mallet and lightly tap on the old rotors until it pops off. to assemble just reverse your steps. ( hint if you are changing your rotors might as well change your brake pads)
Tap on the rotors with a hammer, after removing the tire and wheel and the brake assembly. The rotors will come loose. Slide the rotors off and reverse the process.
