According to my research, Sarah Hussein Obama who is President Barack Obama's paternal grandmother has claimed that he was born in Mombasa, Kenya. His grandmother also claimed that she was present at his birth in Mombasa in 1961. Apparently other African family members support this assertion and also claim to have been present when he was born as well.

According to Obama's Kenyan (paternal) grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii as the Democratic candidate for president claims.
