Nobody really knows this answer, and even The Warren Commission, who was a group of people studying this topic could not really prove if he was.

We will unfortunately never know. HOWEVER: Some people do believe that it was a government plot. Have a look on: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kennedy_assassination_theories & http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/home.htm & http://www.vanityfair.com/politics/features/2008/11/conspiracy200811 & http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1635958_1635999_1634964,00.html Think what you want.

No probably not, he was setup as the fall guy for the powers that wanted President John F. Kennedy dead and out of the way.

Who really killed JFK, pick you poison:

The Mafia, CIA, Cuba, FBI, and/or Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson.

They all had a hand in either pulling the trigger or in covering up the deed.

Lee Harvey Oswald didn't do it.

Who killed Lee Harvey Oswald?

AnswerTo this day there is still an argument as to whether he killed Kennedy alone or was with a group. Nobody knows if anybody sent him because two days after his arrest he was shot by Jack Ruby when he was being moved to the County Jail. Fun Fact: Did you know that the gun that killed Kennedy was bought for around 12 dollars.AnswerTheories that Oswald did not act alone don't really hold up to investigation. Oswald was a man who never fit in; no matter what he tried, he always ended up alienating himself from the "group". The likelihood that he could cooperate or coordinate this activity with another person or persons is very remote. He had the training, the skill, and the means to carry it out all by himself. Most of all, after all of his failures, he had the motivation to make this grand gesture to show the world that he had what it takes.

Why did president JFK get assassinated?

Insufficient restrictions on the sale of firearms. Since the Gun Control Act of 1968, it has been illegal in the US to sell firearms to anyone who has renounced their US Citizenship. Lee Harvey Oswald had renounced his citizenship and lived in the USSR for a few years, before moving back to the States to live in Dallas. He also purchased his rifle via mail order, which was made illegal by the Gun Control Act.

Was Lee Harvey Oswald alone in killing JFK and where was he when he killed JFK?

Apparently, yes, from the Texas Schoolbook Depository. Theories that Oswald did not act alone don't really hold up to investigation.

Who assasssinated John F. Kennedy?

Some people believe Lee Harvey Oswald shot John Fitzgerald Kennedy, acting alone. Some people believe that either he was not involved or that he did not act alone. He was murdered shortly after his arrest, so he was never brought to trial (and therefore remains innocent in the eyes of the law... and if you believe that one, I have some cheap oceanfront property for sale in Arizona). Supreme Court Chief Justice Earl Warren commissioned a group to review the facts and determine everyone connected with the assassination. The Warren Commission determined that Oswald acted alone, but in light of the evidence some people continue to refuse to believe that.

Is jfk's assassination an act of illuminati?

Not that we know of. All investigations say Lee Harvey Oswald wasn't hired by anyone to do this assassination. He just wanted it himself.

Why did Jack Ruby kill Lee Harvey Oswalt?

Oswald and Ruby discussed going in on a land deal together. Financing was arranged but at the last minute Oslwaldgot cold feet and backed out of the deal. Ruby was furious but after a few months the two got back on fairly friendly terms. Then Oswald visited a strip club run by Ruby. Apparently there was an argument between the two men though it is not clear what the topic of disagreement was. Oswald remained at the club and began to "put the moves" on Ruby's favorite stripper (it is not clear if Oswald did this to spite Ruby or if it was just coincidence). Regardless, Oswald ended up taking the stripper home with him that night and I think we all know what went down between them. Anyways, it is reported that Ruby vowed he was going to "teach that guy (Oswald) a lesson." You know the rest I assume.(Actually, there is no evidence that Ruby and Oswald knew each other, but it was a fun story, wasn't it?)Some Believe that Jack Ruby was one of many people that made a plan to kill JFK and when Lee Harvey Oswald was caught, Ruby didn't want Oswald to say anything saying he was in the job to kill JFK, so Jack Ruby snuckinto the Police station grabbed a gun from one of the officers holster and shot Oswald.(Actually, he used his own pistol, and if Oswald had not stalled, he'd have been gone long before Ruby even showed up. So if there was a conspiracy on this point, Oswald was in on it! And there has never been reason to think Oswald did not act alone. It was, after all, a one-manjob.)Actually as they were escorting Oswald from the building he was in, Ruby ran up and shot him.. there is actually a photograph of this happening.. look it upWhy Jack Ruby killed Lee Harvey Oswald remains a mystery. It'sremarkable that while he was in custody immediately following the shooting in the basement of the Dallas PD, Jack was extremely nervous -- sweating and unable to relax. He was offered a cigarette by one of the detectives which he took (odd because Jack, being something of a health nut, didn't smoke). A few minutes later they told Jack that Oswald had died on the operatinng table, whereupon he suddenly and amazingly became quite calm, laid the cigarette down and assumed a demeanour that suggested great relief.During and after his trial, Jack let it be knownthat the truth would one day be revealed, intimating he knew far more than what he had revealed. The only reporter who interviewed Ruby was New York newspaper columnist, Dorothy Kilgallenwho was also a TV game show panelist on CBS's"What's My Line." Jack may have imparted too much information to Kilgallen --enough perhaps, to implicate important people as conspirators. For not long after that interview, Kilgallenwas found dead in her apartment of an apparent drug overdose. It has been speculated that the JFK assassination conspirators chose to silence Kilgallenbefore she was able to publish Ruby's revelations in a book she had begun to write. But there was never any trace found of her manuscript.

What led to john Kennedys death?

John Kennedy made plenty of enemies, as Presidents often do, but the assassin Lee Harvey Oswald was a communist sympathizer who had renounced his citizenship and moved to the USSR (he had later come back, finding the USSR to be "boring"). A lack of security was a problem, as Kennedy was touring the city in an open top car, and had announced the route the motorcade would be taking through the city. Also the fact that there were not many gun restrictions as Oswald had been able to buy weapons by mail order (the Gun Control Act five years later prohibited the sale of firearms to criminals, the mentally ill or anyone who had renounced their citizenship).
