There is no evidence that Barack Obama "boycotted" anything other than and anti-Islamic rally and there is certainly strong evidence that he "supports the caliphate" Historically, American presidents have rarely celebrated the murder of heroes or the ridicule of the true faith. President Obama was furious that the magazine Charlie Hebdo was making fun of the prophet Muhammed. That this resulted in work place violence.was predictable. President Obama has previously spoken in the United Nations and stated, "The Future Must Not Belong to Those Who Slander The Prophet of Islam."

President Obama boycotts all celebrations of murder such as the unwarranted killing of Said and Cherif Kouachi and the murder of a Black man Amedy Coulibaly. Amedy Coulibaly could be President Obama's son. President Obama will never celebrate the murder of those defending Islam.

No. Regardless of Obama's motives in not attending the Anti-Islamic Terrorist Rally held by French President François Hollande with around 40 world leaders and 1.5 million protesters in attendance, it is clear that they were not driven from his supposed support of the "Caliphate". The United States has been engaged in repetitive bombing campaigns of the Islamic State and has provided military and financial aid to the Republic of Iraq and to Iraqi Kurdistan in repelling the Islamic State.

My personal view is that because of Obama's growing up in Indonesia, that he has difficulty confronting the fact that Islamism, the political ideology of implementing Islamic Law into the functioning of government institutions, is a real threat to secularism and democracy. As a result, he likely did not consider the rally to be "important enough", which is a failure in my view.

Historically, American presidents have rarely taken part in protest marches. President Eisenhower did not march at Selma, for example. Presidents tend to take a stand on an issue and then send other members of their administration to do the marching. That is what happened in this case.
