Well the thing is, you dont say where you are from. The person calling or texting you will be charged alot of money if it is long distance, but if you are both located in America or in the same place you should be fine. Just make sure that if the person is visiting china or something and you are in china, the person that is not from china will be charged for texting someone in china, even though they are there..... i think. :) Hope this helps! For more info you can go to your phone plan( Version, T-Mobile, AT&T, etc....)

The fact that a cell has an electrical potential difference across its membrane makes that cell what?

The cell membrane is semi-permeable so that charged ions can not diffuse down or up a concentration cell into or out of the cell. There are cell bound proteins that transport charged ions like K+, Na+ and Ca2+ across the cell membrane and the net effect is that the cell is negatively charged ( about -70 mV) with respect to the extracellular space.

What to have during a lightning storm?

an emergency medical kit (just in case someone gets hurt during the storm) a fully charged cell phone (to call 911 in case of an emergency)

What structure in a cell membrane repels charged particles?

The structure in a cell membrane that repels charged particles is the lipid bilayer. The lipid bilayer is composed of phospholipids, which have hydrophilic (water-loving) heads and hydrophobic (water-repelling) tails. This arrangement prevents charged particles from easily crossing the membrane.

What kinda ions are positively charged and can cross back and forth across the neuron cell membrane?

There are two ions that can cross the cell membrane. The positively charged sodium and potassium ions can cross back and forth across the neuron cell membrane.

What occurs when positively charged ions such as potassium leave the cell causing the positive charge to lower?

When positively charged ions like potassium leave the cell, the positive charge within the cell decreases. This process is known as hyperpolarization. It makes the inside of the cell more negative and can lead to changes in membrane potential and the initiation of other electrical signals in the cell.

Term is used to indicate charged solutions contained in wet cell batteries?

Wet cell batteries contain liquids called electrolytes, such as sulfuric acid.. Dry cell batteries contain no liquid but are charged with alkaline or lithium.

How does the cells charge affect the ions to move into the cell?

The charge of the cell would repel similar charged ions and attract opposite charged ions. For example, if a cell is positively charged, it would repel positive ions and attract negative ions

Bacterial cell Acidic dyes carry what charge?

They carry negative charge and are repelled by negatively charged cell structures. Basic dyes are opposite (carry positive charge) and are attracted to negatively charged cell structures.
