Yes you can grease a brownie pan with butter just rub the butter around the tray really well.Be sure to make sure there are no lumps of butter and that the butter leaves a smothe surface.TIP if you need to grease it quickly put the brownie tray in a hot oven for 2-3 minutes take it out using oven lows hen butter it , put the butter on grease proof paper and rub it around.
My favorite method -- take some butter and put it in a microwave safe container, such as a mason jar. Microwave it JUST A LITTLE -- you do NOT want to melt it; you just want it spreadable.
Get a pastry brush and MASH it in to the butter . "Paint" the pan with the butter and your all set. Pastry brush is available on line or in any cooking supply store. My current favorite -- the OXO pastry brush that has bristles actually made out of silicone.
I keep a mason jar full of butter in the refrigerator at all times. For buttering pans I microwave it just a little. For pouring on pancakes I give it a longer zap in the microwave. Leftover butter in the mason jar? Just put it back in the fridge for next time. Running low on butter in the jar? Just add another stick of butter.
Absolutely. You can use melted coconut oil and pour it onto the brownie pan and maneuver it around until in covers the whole pan. Or you can take a bit of solid coconut oil on a napkin in your hand and spread it onto the pan. Healthy and delicious.
yes. you don't want the brownies to stick to the side of the pan.
yes
You run the risk of the brownies sticking to the pan or burning.
Yes. Be sure to grease, oil or spray the dish well. Don't bake at temperatures above about 450 degrees. (Cornbread bakes at anywhere between 375 and 425 Fahrenheit.) Do not preheat the corningware dish as you might a cast iron pan.
When you want the item to just release from the pan you grease. When you want the item to have a bit of tooth to rise on (cakes etc) and then release, you grease and flour.
Well... before you put the brownie batter into the pan... you have to grease the pan first! You have to put 1 full tbsp of oil ONTO THE PAN and then spread it everywhere in the pan. Even on the sides. You're welcome! 

Depending on the type of pan you are using. As a rule of thumb, you should always grease to prevent sticking. Nonstick cook ware can be the exception.
Bigger pan + Thinner Brownies = Faster Time. . .
18 to 20 minutes or Until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean
Obviously, you need a need a new brownie tin! If the brownies ran over the top of the pan while baking, that pan is too small for the amount of batter in your mix or recipe. Use a larger pan.
You need to grease the pan or dust it with flour.
Grease can be used as a noun (the object 'grease'), or as a verb (the act of applying grease to something). For example:'He applied grease to the pan to prevent food from sticking to it.''He was sure to grease the pan to prevent food from sticking to it.'
