Any foot shaped differently than it would grow on its own in the wild will ultimatley make the horse go lame at some point.
A club foot is the rounding of the hoof and the hoof wall, this doesnt make the horse appear lame but makes the horse lame.
Make the horse trot by jogging alongside it while leading it. If the horse is lame, it will look as though it is limping. You can tell where it comes from by watching the horse's feet and head. If, when he puts one front foot down and his head goes up, it means he is lame in that foot. If the same happens with a hind foot and his head goes down, he is lame in that hind foot.
dunno is that a howrse question I'm stuck on a bunch of those. If we are talking real horse foot problems and not 'howrse' game the term may be called 'lame'. There are different names for different diseases of the foot but those would not be considered 'terms'. If your horse is having a problem with his feet it will make him lame. That is the best term I can think of.
It's a foot condition that can make your horse go lame. It makes the hooves smell really bad and is caused by bacteria that thrive in the foot, because of too much dampness (like if your horse lives in mud).
YES! if you dont no what you are doing then you could seriously injure the horse and make it lame!
If your horse comes up lame the best thing to do is to place it in a stall where it can't move around very much and call your equine vet to come take a look. What might appear 'simple' could really be just the beginning of a very serious problem. Most vets will also tell you to ice the leg or cold hose it until they get there.
If a horse is pointing it's toe it is typically a sign of pain. If he's lame along with it, you need to have both your equine vet and farrier out to examine the horse and make sure it doesn't have laminitis or a very bad injury. It may just be an abscess that needs to be drained.
Horse riders wear spurs to make the horse go faster (Foot Item)
Well..I believe your horse would be limping. When you think your horse is lame..call the vet IMEDIATLY!!! It could be something serious. Before you do call though, check his feet for any big or small rocks that could be hurting it. Even back injuries could make it limp. :( Just call the vet if you have any thought on whether or not your horse is lame. DO NOT RIDE THE HORSE!
Unless you know how to do it yourself you will have to call a farrier (horse shoer). The average horse or pony needs their feet trimmed about every 8 weeks. Warning:If you don't know how you should not try to trim the feet yourself. You could make your horse lame.
No, not that I have ever heard off. I think they only make shoes for horses to fit the desighn of the foot, for the horse.
To turn a horse to the right you have to open your right hand slightly away from the horse's neck and gently nudge the horse's left side with the heel of your foot.
