The hub/bearing assembly is pressed together. This item is not serviceable.
just replacd myself. it is pressed in. it will actually come out however it needs to be pressed back in.
Changing wheel bearing from a 2002 Hyundai Elantra requires removing the hub assembly. The bearing will need to be pressed out and in to confirm and safe install.
The front wheel hub assembly will probably need to be pressed out if this is the first time the bearing has been replaced. Aftermarket bearings are not as close in tolerance as the original equipment and seem much easier to replace.
Front is easy, just replace hub rear is pressed in
The frontdoes not havea "wheel hub assembly". It is an individual sealed roller bearing that has to be pressed on and off the front spindle. It is a Toyota thing!
A wheel bearing is pressed in to the hub so that it is able to safely operate. To replace a bearing on a Chevy Impala remove the hub from the car and take the unit to a machinist. Have the press out the old bearing and press in the new one.
The front wheel bearings must be pressed into and out of the spindle/hub assembly. You will need to take the spindle assembly to an automotive machine shop to have this done.
Hi, The wheel bearing is not really pressed in, but it is 'integrated' into the hub assembly. This is because the hub assemblies on these vans also contain wheel speed sensors that are used by the anti-lock braking system (ABS). Bottom line - if the wheel bearings start to go bad, the whole hub assembly has to be replaced. Good Luck, Greg
Miata wheel bearings are replaced as an integral hub / bearing assembly. Do a search on www.Miata.net for more detailed information. This is true of the FRONT hub assembly, but the rear assembly in the 1990-2005 cars have a replaceable bearing that is the same for all years. Removing the bearing requires removing the entire assembly from the car so the bearing may be pressed out, or gently hammered out with correct drift sizes. The bearings are USUALLY NOT the cause of rear suspension noises. The CV joints are much more likely to fail than the bearings.

you gotta pull off the knuckle, and have the bearing pressed out, and a new one pressed in
