So far so good! I installed the product on a 1994 Volvo 850 Non-Turbo with a blown headgasket. Engine has 240,000 miles. Symptons were oil and antifreeze mixed together that looked like a chocolate milkshake. Followed all instructions. Support technician whom I talked with on phone was very helpful. It is early on but to my amazement it does appear to have worked. I've driven the car for 5 days and now have 150 miles since install. Oil is clear with no evidence of coolant leakage and car is running sympton free. I was skeptical when purchasing but so far am very pleased. I will update in a few weeks MY in Morris, CT
If it was removed then YES.
That depends entirely on how much you value the car.
You must replace the defective gasket. There is no other permanent fix.
It depends on the year, make, model, mileage and general condition of the vehicle. Consult a trusted mechanic.
A few things you have to look at- How old is the car? Except for the bad head gasket, does the car operate OK? How many miles are on the car?? These are things you have to decide what you will do.
As an emergency repair yes. The only permanent repair is to replace the gasket.
No, it will not. That is used as an emergency repair. The only fix for a blown head gasket is to replace it.
Because the head gasket is blown.
No it will not. The only thing that will fix a blown head gasket is to replace the gasket.
what are you asking here? PLease be more specific ...like - how do I know if my head gasket is blown, or what do I do about a blown head gasket ......
Sure it will start with a blown head gasket. But, if you continue to run this engine with a blown head gasket you will destroy the engine.
There are several possible indications of a blown head gasket: If the head gasket is blown between adjacent cylinders there will be poor or no compression in either cylinder. Poor compression in any cylinder can be caused by a blown head gasket. That condition can also be caused by a burned valve or piston. Coolant in the crank case can be caused by a blown head gasket. Compression in the coolant can be caused by a blown head gasket. An engine with a blown head gasket usually loses performance and runs poorly or not at all.
