No, but it has a temperature gauge that you need to check regularly.
If you are asking if it has a safety that shuts the engine off if oil pressure is low, then no it does not.If you are asking if it has a safety that shuts the engine off if oil pressure is low, then no it does not.
fuel pumps about to go out -or more likely your electronic control module is failing.
iec
Some have a safety switch that shuts fuel pump off if oil pressure drops
It shuts off the fuel supply to the carb, they are spendy to buy so i just a different bolt where the solenoid was and the problem was cured. Additional: The solenoid is an important part of the safety system. No professional will tell you to bypass it because of the liabilities. The solenoid shuts off the fuel that go through the carburetor into the engine. It will shut off when there is a safety issue. It also shuts off with the key and helps prevent the engine from backfiring which can cause damage.
it does not have a safety switch you can reset. If the ecm (engine control module) detects no rpms it shuts down the fuel pump.
I would try to turn the engine over by hand to see it it is not locked up, the oil pump might have gone bad and starved it oil, it prob would have overheated before it shut off if that was the prob, there is only a gas safety switch, i dont think that would of shut it down in this case,
when the sterring wheel is turned sharply to park, the engine shuts off
no... no spark???? module, crank sensor??? but no such saftey system. only on fuel, enertia switch
There is no safety switch that can be operated manually . The engine does however have a fuel cutoff switch integrated in to the oil pressure switch/sending unit that shuts off the fuel pump to protect the engine in case of loss of oil pressure.
On those types of machines there should be a lever on one of the hand grips that must be held down while operating as a safety feature.
What causes a 1998 Pontiac transport to run hot and engine shuts off
