Sounds like the battery terminals need a good cleaning. Pick up a battery terminal cleaner at an auto parts store, or just use a wire brush and take the battery terminals off and give them a good cleaning. Then you should be good to go.
Could be: Seized engine Weak battery loose or corroded battery cables Bad starter solenoid Bad starter Bad neutral or clutch safety switch
Your clicking msy me your sc duct door acuator with a strip gear and for your gauge problem snd radio sounds like a bad ground check and make sure you have a ground from your battery to your engine and from your engine to the frame and from your frame to your body.
Most likely the battery is weak and dying. Enough voltage and current to make the solenoid barely engage (clicking in and out), but plenty of current and voltage for the radio and some of the lights.
There are many possible causes. With my sons LXi this problem seems to have been related to the factory security system and a faulty tamper detection switch at the trunk key-lock. Another symptom is the alarm (horn and lights) would sound off on its own randomly. You can tell if you have this problem by locking the car with the key or fob and watching the red light in the center of the dashboard under the rear view mirror up near the windshield. If the light comes on solid for a few seconds before it begins flashing, then your trunk switch has a fault. After the alarm sounds, it prevents the car from being started and leads to all sorts of autoshutdown (ASD) issues where the relays under the hood keep clicking until the fuses are pulled to reset the ASD and PCM circuits. Sometimes the engine may start, run for a few seconds and die. Locking and unlocking the car and trunk until the normal security light sequence (16 seconds of fast flash, then slow flashes) seems to put everything back in order. Or your battery could just be be extremely low. it takes much more energy from the battery to start a vehicle than it does to power the radio or interior lights. the clicking sound comes from the starter relay trying and failing to engage the starter and turn the engine over.
I had the same problem. The fuse for the radio either needs to be cleaned or replaced I believe it is the third fuse from the bottom on the left side of the fuse box. It effects the relay in some way. I changed the fuse (which was not blown) and cleaned the fuse contacts, haven't had a problem since.
its suppose to. batt. is to low, engine switch is not good if the lights do not turn off when turning the key
The engine is clicking with all of the interior lights on? Dead battery... and for future reference... if there is no clicking= really dead battery and it might not recharge. In that case check the alternator, if the alternator is still good, just buy a new battery. If the battery continues to fail to recharge get a new alternator.
==headline== needs answer, nothing to do with charging system.
You have a bad ground to the from the glow plug relay to the engine block
Try turning them off. This is done with the dimmer control of the dash lights.
Weak battery? Loose or corroded battery cables? Starter solenoid?
could be bad cells in the battery, but my bmw ended up having a seized motor, starter was engaging and clicking because it couldnt turn the engine. try putting a socket on the engine crank pulley to see if engine will rotate

It is important to pay attention and understand why the warning lights come on. The Check Engine light will flash because there is in issue within the cars engine, the number of flashes usually indicate the code number.
By "OFF," I have to assume that your question means that the ignition switch is "ON", but the engine is not running. IF that is what your question means, then the reason the engine warning lights turning on is that the manufacturer designed the system that way to show you that those warning circuits and lights are working, and ready to warn you after you start the engine, should there be a failure in one of the systems they represent.
If your question is "What would I conserve by turning off lights and fans?", the answer is electricity.
Turn left indicator signal flashes rapidly when I use indicator, bulbs ok, no lights working
