On my 2001 MY 1.9DCI its 100,000Miles or 5 Years, whichever comes first. Dont skimp and just get the belt, Renault do a kit which contains tensioners too.
If it is the same as the Renault Laguna, then with the ignition on and the car stationary turn the headlight stalk from 0 (off) to the sidelights (lightbulb) posistion twice consecutively. You should then hear an audible signal and a meesage will appear on the information display. Repeat the proceedure to enable. Assuming its a Scenic 2 2003 -2009.. Its not the same as the Laguna - You get into the car, insert the card, but dont touch the pedals. All your electrics will come on. Press and hold the Auto button at the end of the indicator stalk, you will hear a beep and it comes up on the display auto lights de-activated. To re-enable you just do it again, but i think it has 2 beeps when activating, and display says auto lights activated.
I hate to break it to you but these are unreliable cars. (i dont know the answer though), next time, dont get a vauxhall!!
That's easy... If you have a lot of money go to the Renault Service center to have it reset. On the other hand, if you dont have a single penny but u have some tools then do the following. 1. Remove Negative battery terminal for about 15minutes to allow the resistors/capacitors of the faulty light to turn off. 2. after 15 minutes put back the negative terminal and start your engine. 3. Dont be shocked if no lights appear... 4. Turn off your engine and turn on again then your problem is solve. ---MaxiExtreme-
im not sure but sometimes there are relays under the hood; maybe one of those are bad.
check the relay and switches if you dont know where they are look at owners manual or a haynes repair manual they help a lot on some stuff
I dont have an answer but I am having the same problem. My car wouldn't start but when I turned the key, the lights (hazard and dash lights) started blinking. I think it's a warning that the battery is not completely connected. We tightened the clamps (which were very loose) and it stopped.
