hi i have a Citroen saxo s reg 1.5D and it is knocking like a drive shaft but it dont do it all the time what do u think i should do shall i try a new drive shaft?
1) Drive-shafts are used on FWD but Prop-Shafts are used on RWD or 4WD. 2)A Drive-Shaft has final drive via a CV joint but a Prop-Shaft has final drive via a Differential. 3)A Drive-Shaft is smaller, lighter and saves space by not having a transmition tunnel.
Variable Frequency Drive
grain structures
Normal shaft generators do not have droop-control for frequency and voltage. Semiconductor (drive) based variable speed shaft generators may have those today.
the aggregate of electric motor, the energy transmitting shaft and the control equipment by which the motor characteristics are adjusted and controlled is called an electrical drive.
Take it to a garage,,,
it makes a knocking sound when u turn the wheels.
If you mean the front drive shaft, yes it should.
The Prop shaft (front drive shaft) has a ball type cv joint that sits in bearings that connects to the transfer case. This is most likely shot and you need a front prop shaft (front drive shaft) complete with rubber boot and differential cv universal joint.
chances are your cv shaft is about to bust. the shaft itsself is about $120. if it's somethign you know how to do then do it a.s.a.p. if not then get it to a shop very soon! if it breaks then you will be unable to drive... good luck!
A drive shaft allows torque to enter a motor. Louis Renault of France was the inventor of the drive shaft. He invented the drive shaft in 1898.
The drive shaft does not leak. It is either the pinion seal or the trans. seal. Either one, the drive shaft has to be removed. The rear seal should be done at a garage, but you could do the front.
no it will not drive, and you risk ruining your transmission if you attempt to drive.
The load knocking is the Universal Joint. It is worn and when the power to the drive shaft changes the mount hits the U Joint causing a clunk. You can check if the U joint is bad, by trying to move the drive shaft with your hand while the car is off. If there is any play, the U joint is worn. You may have 2 or three U Joints depending on the Drive type.
Yes.
is the drive shaft the same as the intermediate shaft on a vauxhall corsa car does any body no
The drive shaft is part of the drive train, not part of the transmission.
