∙ 14y agoallergies can effect how a person absorbs nutrients. if you dont get he proper nutrients your immune system can be compromised. except in the case of celiac disease which is not a food allergy. It is an actual immune response to gluten (wheat and other grains). Google celiac disease for more info.
