Typically, a computer virus is a program that can infect other programs by including a copy of the virus program in them. The virus is designed so that it can change its shape or purpose over time. Moreover, it multiplies and joins either the program or the file, "hiding" there, it wanders from one computer to another. A computer virus can "attribute" itself to other programs, as they say, "infect" them. This "infection" leads to the fact that Computer Viruses can independently spread and multiply. As a result, a large number of computers can simultaneously fail.

For a computer to become infected with a virus, this virus must penetrate the computer. The virus can penetrate using portable devices that are used to transfer data between computers, through a local area network of an organization, through other computer networks (for example, via the internet).

However, in addition to the virus penetrating the computer, there is another condition that infects the computer. This condition is that the program containing the virus should be executed at least once on the computer.

by e-mail or any file transfer site.

Never open the attachment to an email from someone you don't know, and don't forward any such email to anyone else.

Viruses can spread through any media or interlink. Beware accepting anything from anyone without a decent antivirus on their PC.

Viruses can be transmitted from one computer to another in a variety of ways. The most common way is for you to unknowingly download a virus from a computer on the internet. Viruses can be disguised as useful programs or may exploit a security vulnerability in one of your programs in order to gain control of your system. Viruses can also be transmitted via email attachments, or can infect files on your system that you may transfer to another computer later.

Computer viruses thrive when they are able to be transferred from one computer to another. Some of the most prevalent computer viruses spread by transferring themselves from one computer to another.

The easiest way for a virus to transfer itself from one computer to another is via email or other messaging platform. The virus packages itself to imitate a trustworthy file attachment, then uses your email to email itself to all of your contacts, Facebook friends, etc.

Another easy way for it transfer from one computer to another is through cloud storage. A user may save an infected file to their computer that is also connected to cloud storage, such as Google drive, drop box, one drive, etc. Then they access that file on a new computer. As soon as that file is accessed from the new computer, the virus has been transferred.

They can also travel via portable storage, such as a flash drive or even through a cellphone connection. Virus developers are getting sophisticated enough that they can take advantage of every feature of a computer, smart phone, or other smart device and turn it against you. Just be sure to protect yourself by using password best practices and by using the best antivirus software and have a professional computer repair technician check out your setup every few months or at least once a year.

If you connect a computer that has a virus to a computer that doesnt have a virus will the computer that doesnt have a virus get one?

Only if you transfer an infected file to the un-infected computer is it possible, or if you have an open connection where the infected computer may send (without permission) code, or files -like SQL injectors-. One other way is if you have a connection where you're connected to a server through the other computer that lets the infected computer 'ping' (another way of sending code to comfirm connection status).
