best way is to change the switch on the back of the head unit (control panel) very cheep to change 25 bucks. ive been having the same issue with my 01 wrangler where the switch keeps going out every 6 months. i think it is a break in one of the wires to where it is heating up my unit and i keep blowing the fan switch... so for 100. i just bought the whole wiring for the ac head unit to wire the blower motor all the way to the head unit (control switch). good luck with yours!
In a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, the relay switch for the heater blower and motor is located behind the dash. It will be directly behind the HVAC knobs behind the dashboard.
Replace fan switch.
Either your switch is messed up, or more likely the blower motor resistor is bad.
Replace the blower motor resistor.
Could be a bad resistor pack at the blower motor Could be a bad low speed relay
The blower resistor has failed. Located behind glove box door.
Blown fuse, bad motor, bad blower motor switch, or a defective Blower Motor Resistor Pack.
Bad blower motor? Blown blower motor fuse? Bad fan switch? Bad blower resistor pack?
