you have to take it to the dealership because the employees have access to the "Honda interactive" network and have to submit the radio' s serial number. after that happens, it gives them the radio code. Also, if your Honda is a newer vehicle( 2000 or newer), sometimes the radio code could be on an original sticker placed in either: the left or right side of the glove box, owner's manual, or underneath the fuse box cover in the engine compartment. hope this helps.
You can also go to the Honda owners web site, sign up, and get the code for free. Click the link.
The code is specific to the radio in your Honda. The dealer may be able to tell you the code. If they do not have it stored in their computer, you will need to get the Serial # off the radio. With the serial # they can find the code.
first you need the serial number of the radio which is located on the back of the radio. Honda will charge you about $60 to remove the radio and get the serial number. once Honda has the serial number they can look up the radio code on their computer system
Go to Honda's web site and sign up on at the Owner's Link. With the VIN # off your car you can get the code. Otherwise you will have to remove the radio and get the serial # off the radio chassis. With this serial # any Honda dealer can tell you the code.
No one can tell you this code for free but Honda will tell you what it is free of charge. Just click the link I will post and register your Honda on the Honda Owners Link. Once you do that you will be able to get the code with your VIN #, phone #, and serial # off there radio. The instructions will tell you how to find the serial #.
It is a 5 digit code. If you cannot find the code written down somewhere in the vehicle or owner's manual then you have but one choice. Go back to the selling dealer and hope they kept a record of the code. If not, you must get the serial # off the radio chassis. With that serial # the Honda dealer can tell you the code. You will have to remove the radio to see the serial #.
how do i get a code for my 2007 honda odyssey 2007 if i have the serial for the radio
To reset the radio code in a 98 Honda CR-V, one will need to remove the radio and get the serial number off the radio. Inside the glove box, one can find a small white sticker that has the code in it.
These codes are specific to each radio in each car. As you do not have the code, then contact the Honda dealer that sold the car. They may have the code stored in their computer system. If they do not, then to get it you must provide a Honda dealer with the serial # off the radio chassis. This will require that you remove the radio or at least remove enough to be able to see the serial #. There is no other way.
All the codes are different and it is specific to your radio only. Therefore if you do not know the code or the selling dealer did not keep a record of the code, you have only one choice. You must remove the radio and get the serial # off the chassic. With that serial # any Honda dealer can provide you the code.
the radio in your van has a anti-theft code that is needed to restart the radio when it looses power, most times(durning pre-delivery inspection) there is a sticker installed in the glove box with the code and\or serial number on it. The sticker is about one inch long by a half inch wide. the code will be 5 digits and the serial number will be 8. If the sticker is not there you will need to go to a Honda dealership were they can hold a group of buttons on the radio and get it to display the serial number which they can then use to get the radio code from Honda's Dealer only web site.
None of those numbers will help. You will need the Serial # off the radio to find the code. Any Honda dealer can tell you if you have that Serial #. Of course you will need to remove the radio to see it on the radio chassis.
in order to get the radio code you must first take out the stereo and get the serial number off the back of the radio then call a Honda dealership with the VIN and proof of ownership and they can get you the code. You then enter the code using the preset buttons. GOOD LUCK!!
