You have to get the code off the ecm(under the dash on the driver side) it will be a five digit code larger than any other numbers printed on the ecm. Then enter the code, the door should unlock, then press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds. Then you can reprogram a new code.

A keyless entry remote on a 2001 Toyota Sequoia can not be reprogrammed at home. The key must be taken to a dealership where the engineers can program it with new settings.
Door Code Location...I actually found the door code behind the fuse box area (Driver Side) on my brother's 2000 Ford Expedition EB. There is a big white sticker with 5 numbers starting with number 1####. Hope this helps...i also found mine in the same area. the sticker is actually on the keyless entry module on the firewall. mine was white. the code is not labled but the sticker does say keyless entry. good luck hope we helped you
