there's no way gearbox oil/transmission oil can get in the radiator... only the engine oil can. this usually will happen if the cylinder head is cracked or the cylinder head gasket has failed.
However, Transmission Fluid can get into your coolant, by means of a corroded internal transmission cooling line, which is inside the radiator of many model automobiles and trucks... it will look somewhat like pepto bismol at the cap..
A radiator is defective if fluids are leaking out of the radiator or there is a leak of steam. Or, if thecore is blocked, the radiator will remain cold or just slightly warm in places.

I WILL TELL YOU TO REMOVE THE RADIATOR AND BRING IT TO A RADIATOR SHOP TO MAKE AN HYDRO TEST ON IT THEN YOU WILL KNOW WHERE IT LEAKS I had mine pressure tested without removing it.
