have a tech look at it he can look for inspection holes on bellhousing or move the rubber seal on clutch fork, maybe starter has to be removed anyhow find access to use mirror or fibre=optic camera.
You can also request to see the old parts, they have to show you by law.
License plate like bulb, on a Citrogen Picasso, can be changed by pushing the bulb in and turning at the same time. The bulb will come out. Insert the new bulb.
"What is the difference between single plate clutch and multi plate clutch?"
the clutch plate ,pressure plate and throwout bearing should cost around 110.00 labour will vary its about a 2 hour job for a garage or about 4 hours in your driveway
At the clutch plate and the pressure plate.
My local garage always uses fully synthetic on my Picasso (07 plate same engine), I know it costs more than other oils but as it is only changed once a year it's better to pay the price for peace of mind! Why skimp by using cheaper oil when it does such an important job, it is a no-brainer really.
Clutch, yes. Pressure plate, No.
I had same problem so I changed clutch, no diference. found the plate the clutch pedal conects to had pulled away from bulkhead. rewelded to bulkhead and clutch was fine.
Broken clutch cable or clutch pressure plate fork.
The clutch plate center protrudes further on one side than the other. When the clutch was installed, the clutch plate was put in facing the wrong way. What you are hearing is the springs rubbing and scraping the pressure plate. NOT GOOD! Why the car does not accelerate properly is because the center protrusion I talked about earlier is not letting the clutch make complete contact with the flywheel.
a pressure plate works by springs. when disengaged the tension is released from the springs which hold the clutch plate against the flywheel, allowing the clutch plate to spin free, which basically stops the transfer of power from engine to gearbox when clutch is engaged the tension is reapplied to springs in pressure plate forcing the clutch plate against the flywheel
The springs around the clutch plate have probably came out and locked up between the pressure plate and the clutch plate and locked them together. you need to change the clutch plate and have the pressure plate checked for damage.
The clutch will have to be replaced. The pressure plate could possibly be resurfaced but usually it is as cost effective to replace the pressure plate.
