the reparations of the Versailles treaty affected Germany because the treaty took away their land which was used to produce goods. And goods= money. the people were starving because Germany had to pay the allies and Germany lost all of its foreign colonies which again caused huge money losses.
The effect on Germany was ruinous. The reparations forced upon Germany after the war, created a severe depression in Germany and millions of people lost their jobs. It also created terrible resentment among the German people, especially those on the extreme left and right of the political spectrum. The French were the one power that insisted on reparations. The British and the Americans were much less so. The Weimar Republic was created after the war and struggled during much of the 1920's because of the reparations and political turmoil. All of this played directly into Adolf Hitler's plan.
Under the Treaty of Versailles which officially ended World Wat One and passed judgments on Germany regarding the damages it did during the war, reparations were part of the treaty. This resulted in having Germany pay monies each year to mainly France and England. The German economy after the war was in shambles. The reparations were steep and on more then one occasion, Germany asked that they be reduced. The terms of the Treaty of Versailles, gave political traction to extremists such as Hitler, who claimed that Germany had been betrayed in the war.
Germany had to print a lot of paper money which caused inflation and made the German mark go down. Which led to economic crisis in Germany.
loads of stuff mite go wikipedia and it will tell you...
Germany's state of hyperinflation made it impossible to pay reparations because their money was worthless.
