When the Euroupeans became modernized (industrialized) they found that they had better weapons and forms of transportation than many countries in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. They also found that Asia had many needed resources like Tea and Iron. So they formed colonies so they could control what happened and so the could make money. (this is all Imperialism)
