The 2 oil coolant lines have 0 rings on them were they go into the filter adpater. REPLACE 0-RINGS. If the adpater is leaking were it bolts to the block, then you need a gasket set for the oil filter adpater.
Does it have 2 lines coming from the top of the oil filter, and going to the radiator. If so that is the oil cooler. You need to replace the RADIATOR Those 2 lines go into the radiator so it can cool the oil, and the tubes are leaking oil into the coolant.
the lines are call oil cooler lines
It is probably the oil cooler lines.
replacement of the transmission dipstick tub seal on a 1994 s10 blazer
I had a big oil leak in my 93 4.3 Blazer when I bought it and it turned out to be the remote oil filter block on the engine where the oil filter normally would go. There was a big O-Ring that was broked allowing oil to leak past it. I got an oil cooler repair kit from NAPA and it had the O-Rings to replace the broken one plus the oil line O-Rings. I had to remove a strut that went between the oil lines and remove the oil lines from the adapter so I could remove the adapter from the car to clean it and replace the O-Ring in the block.
The engine block coolant drain plug on 4.3 liter Chevy Blazer is located on the bottom of the engine, near the oil filter. It allows coolant to be completely drained from the block during maintenance.
You need to go to auto parts store and tell them that you need both oil cooler lines for your make and model, they will sell you the whole line. Rubber and all, compleate.
It will depend on what kind of Chevy. You will have to replace the oil lines if they are leaking. you can either straight up replace, or take the lines to a place that works with hydraulics and get them to crimp on new hoses your lines.
YES
Drain the oil, not normally. Drain the coolant, yes.
Yes you do.
