if your talking plug wires it 18436572 1 is in the front just off to the left of the distributor as your sitting in the car & they go clock wise
Depends alot on the year, and how many miles on the motor. Anywhere from 80lbs, and up. What you are really looking for, is a difference. One cylinder 25, or 30 lbs lower. This would indicate a dead cylinder.
sounds like your wiper motor is going bad. had the same thing happen on my 96 Chevy pick up. check your connection where your wires plug in. if that's not loose i would repace wiper motor.
It would help to know the voltage of the motor. See related links below for motor connections.
Bad switch? - jump wires on switch to see if motor works Bad motor? See if you are getting power to the motor - if so bad motor Try slamming door with switch depressed - sometimes it works!
Most common cause. Bad plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, Bad plugs. I would give it a GOOD tune-up
If the distributor cap, rotor, ignition wires and spark plugs check okay then I would suspect a faulty fuel injector.
exactly the same as you would time a sbc...the cam swap doesn't change the way you time the motor...make sure that the plugs wires are ran to the right cylinder... standard firing order 18436572..... 4-7 swap firing order 18736542
That code means; Engine missfire detected.First check the plug wires and the spark plugs. That would be the most common problem. You may also have a bad coil on that cylinder. If you get the engine scanned it will tell you what cylinder is missfiring.
That would be a destroked motor, and would result in a 285.
Number 1 cylinder, which would be the first cylinder on the drivers side of the engine. You want the rotor pointing towards the 5 O'Clock position looking at the distributor from the front.
It would depend on your environment. If it stays well above freezing, straight 30 weight is fine.
That would be the 1st cylinder on the drivers side head up front.
