Open the trunk, remove the plastic buttons that hold the carpeting in place on the passenger side, unscrew the trim ring that is around the mast on the outside of the car, there are 2 bolts inside the trunk that you have to remove and an electrical plug to remove, then unplug the antenna cable and the whole assembly can be replaced
You can purchase an antenna mast at most auto shops like Auto Parts or Auto Zone. Many gas stations or garages will also carry the antenna mast for your car.
remove inner fender passenger side antenna mast is right there back towards door you can get a new antenna for about 56 dollars
I removed the entire power antenna assembly and could not find any way possible to separate the mast from the motor assembly. Odd, since Mitsubishi sold me an antenna mast.
if you are speaking of the mast (the actual part you see on the fender) it just unscrews
If you do not have an antenna, u need to get something small like tweezers or needle nose pliers and pull the antenna ball ( from the mast) out to connect a universal antenna ( this can be tricky, you might have to stretch the mast opening). If you have an antenna you should only have to unscrew it and reattach a universal. I just completed this task on my 2004 vibe. Dealerships and auto shops were unable to assist me. Hope this helps! :)
how do I replace a power antenna on my jeep Cherokee 1992
By mounting it on an antenna mast with the appropriate attachment bracket.
unlimited most radio supply outfits will provide an antenna mast to 78 inches, but you can get your machine shop to make a longer mast for a few $$$ extra
You can get a new mast for the antenna from any Hyundai dealer. This happens a lot and they usually stock them. If you can get all of the old mast out, it's a rather simple procedure, although it can be tricky to get the antenna to grab the new mast. 1. Remove the nut holding the mast into the antenna (12mm I think). 2. Turn the radio on and pull the antenna mast out. There should be a round disc and a ball on the bottom. If not, you'll need to remove the antenna assembly and take the rest of the pieces out of the antenna. If the disc and ball are present, continue with step 3. 3. Push the plastic of the new antenna mast down into the antenna as far as possible. 4. Have an assistant turn off the radio while you're pushing the plastic into the antenna. 5. If the antenna does not grab onto the mast, return to step 2. Otherwise, continue with step 6. 6. Install and tighten the mast nut. 7. Turn the radio on. 8. Turn the radio off. Your mast should now be properly seated. 9.there is a plastic washer also inside that you will have to force the mast thru to get it the set in the motor ! if you cann't push thru , next step take out motor and remove the tube for antenna, you find in sitting inside make sure connect it back the same it is stting , after that replace in car, have someone turn and off radio, job done
A radar mast is a high platform to mount a radar antenna such as the radar has an unobstructed view.
There are a lot of aftermarket antenna masts that you can get to fit your 4 runner and if you do decide to go with a fixed mast just make sure that you make sure that the wiring harness at the mast doesn't ground out on any metal. Other than that there is no problem with replacing it with a fixed mast antenna.
The antenna mast is stripped.
