Should be located in a removable housing at the engine end of the upper radiator hose Drain about 1 gallon of coolant frm the radiator Remove this housing Note how thermostat is installed Clean both surfaces Replace thermostat and gasket Replace housing Re-fill coolant slowly to prevent an air lock Start engine and look for leaks Run engine to normal operating temperature with heater on Re-check coolant level
The oxygen sensors on a 1998 Chevrolet S10 are changed by disconnecting the lead wire and unscrewing them from the exhaust manifold. New sensors are then screwed into place and the wires reattached.
Yes, there is no reason you should not be able to change the oil by yourself in a 1996 Chevrolet S10.
It is on the cylinder head near the thermostat housing.
It should be 4 and 1/2 US Qts with filter change.
I've got a better question, why is this question in the Chevy venture forum ?
no it will not
Uwhere is the thermostat located in a 1998 4.6 l s10 pick up truck? sually on the top front of the motor under the top radiator hose.
How do you change a Master Cylinder and hydraulic clutch line for a 1998 Chevy S10?
If you follow the upper radiator hose to the engine, the hose is attached to the thermostst housing. The thermostat is located under the thermostat housing.
Follow the upper radiator hose from the radiator towards the engine. The upper radiator hose is connected to the thermostat housing on the engine side. The thermostat is under/inside the thermostat housing. Remove the upper radiator hose from the housing then remove the two bolts holding down the thermostat housing then remove the thermostat housing to expose the thermostat.
You need only to drain off a couple quarts of coolant to change the thermostat.
