I assume you are talking about the coil assembly. You have probably already noticed that the spark plug wires go to the top of the engine and plug into the coil pack. There are six screws holding it in place. Remove them and lift the coil assembly up. Under the bottom you will find six wires clipped onto six terminals. Remove them one at a time and transfer them over to the new coil. The terminals may have to be bent down so they are flat for clearance. Replace the screws and transfer the plug wires over. Jack
For the Ignition Module. Remove the battery hold down bolt, and disconnect the Battery. Remove the Battery from the Tray. Disconnect the ground cable from the ground stud that runs underneath the Ignition Control Module, and move the wires out of the way.
This should give you access to the nuts that hold the module to the engine. I like to use a 1/4" ratchet since it's small enough to work in the limited space. A wrench will also work. Be sure to disconnect the cable from the end of the Module, and mark the Spark Plug wires before disconnecting. You can separate the coils from the Module after the module is removed.

How do i change the ignition switch in a 1988 Chevy camaro
The ignition amplifier module or power stage is bolted to the left front inner fender near the battery.
The ignition control module on a 2.5L Fiero is changed by removing the lower steering column panel, disconnecting the wiring harness, and unbolting the module. A new module is then bolted in and the wires reattached. I owned one of these and never saw a ignition box of any kind in this location. The 1985 to 1988 had distributorless ignition. The module is held to the bracket by the ignition coil screws. To change remove the 4 screws holding coils on, seperate the coils from the module, unplug the module, depending on year 1 or two harnes plugs. To assemble reverse process. 1984n the module lives under the rotor inside the distributor cap and has two wires from the harnes and two that run to the pick up coil. Two screws and 4 wires to change
Use a 5.5mm socket
I would first check and probley replace the pick coil that is in the distributor, That is the item that the ignition module plugs into. You will have to take the distributor out and apart to replace it.
Inside the distributor cap under the rotor.
