Changing the timing belt on any engine involves removing all the accessory drive belt on the engine (alternator, Power Steering, a/c if equipped, water pump if applicable, and so on). After that you must remove the timing belt cover(s), and usually the crankshaft pully/ harmonic balancer. The belt must then be removed and replaced, making sure that the camshaft(s) and crankshaft and any balance shafts are lined up in the proper position. As a technician, i would recommend having this done by a shop or dealer, or very closely following a repair manual
