put a wheel chock behind ur rear wheels and then place a trolly jack under the strenghened part of the sill just behind the front wheel,it'll show you where in the owners book.loosen your wheel nuts then jack the car up.next pop the bonnet then take the brake reservoir cap off.take the wheel off then on the caliper there are two plastic covers on the caliper bolts, just prise them off with a flat screwdriver.next undo the two bolts with a 7mm hex bit.then lift the caliper away and upwards, now the pads have a clip on the back so you have to prise them off the caliper and piston, its not too hard.with a g clamp you will need to slowly push the piston back.fit your new pads on to the caliper and re fit caliper reverse way you removed it.now attach you pad wear sensor, its only on the passenger side.tighten the two caliper bolts,u can apply a bit of loctite 243 on the bolt threads.do same on other side.when you've finished be sure to pump your brake pedal several times to seat the pads against the disc, very important that part!!.put reservoir cap back and your done. this worked for me on an 2004 1.6 16v,Dave!!,hope this helps someone
