The oil to turbo is from the crank case. period no special reservoir. If you want to change the oil for your turbo simply drain the motor oil. I change my oil & filter on my '93 740 hotted up 3K miles even though Volvo says 5K miles No problems

the oil filter is on the back of on engine just below the inlets it,s not easy to get to just go to kwik fit a oil change plus filter is only £40 and well worth it to help save the life of your turbo it cost us £600 for a replacement turbo because we didn,t get a regular oil change plus filter
10 quarts with filter change
To change Volvo oil filled 940 engine mount, push a container under the oil drain plug. Unscrew drain unplug and remove the cap from the oil filler hole at the top of the engine. Unscrew oil filter to drain. Then change oil.
Requires a special wrench tool. Look on eBay for "Volvo Oil Filter Wrench" They are about $10.
