How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 1986 Toyota Tercel?

From personal experience of George Paschal, Fort Pierce, FL, USA Headlight bulb = Headlamp A clip has a tab-in-slot type on its front and a squeeze type on its rear and can be removed from the front side and/or the rear side. Spread cloth or cardboard under car to catch parts that fall. Re-assembly just might be difficult if you are missing a clip or screw from 1986. Remove front grill clips, and remove front grill. Make sure you do not lose the three or four clips {each clip has more than one part to it). Remove four headlight housing clips of dead headlamp, and by turning headlight housing appropriately, maneuver it out into the space vacated by the front grill, and remove it. Make sure you do not lose the clips {each clip has more than one part to it). Remove four screws of thin metal headlamp frame, and remove frame. Headlamp may fall out then, so pull it out enough to detach 3-prong plug on the back of the bulb. Plug new headlamp into socket. Turn on headlight switch to test new headlamp. Assuming test was successful, hold headlamp in place and install thin metal headlamp frame and the four screws. Re-assemble/install clips into headlight housing, maneuver the housing back into place, align rear of clips with holes in framework and install by pushing headlight housing into place. You will hear the clips snap into place. Re-assemble/install clips into front grill, align rear of clips with holes in framework and install by pushing grill into place. You will hear the clips snap into place. Good luck!

How do you replace the headlight bulb located on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix?

Simply lift up on the white toggle (hard) which unlock the whole headlight unit. The headlight unit will then pull out allowing easy access to the light bulbs. Detailed instructions are in the owners manual. Lift on the white toggle WHILE PRESSING INWARD ON THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY. Lift the toggle a small amount (not all the way)...just enough to align the horizontal tabs with the top of the headlamp assembly. Pull out and place the headlamp assembly on the car (wire is still connected so it cannot be removed completely). Rotate the bulb 1/4 to remove. The entire bulb is the glass plus part of the plastic which unplugs from the wire it is attached to by slightly lifting the two tabs holding it on.

How do you change the signal bulb in a 2003 Grand Am?

You have to remove the headlamp assembly, this is easy to remove but difficult to install also your headlight alignment may be out after. First remove the plastic cover on the top of the headlamps in front, it extends across the top of the front engine compartment and covers both headlamps. Remove the plastic tabs which hold it in place, be careful they break easily. After removing the cover locate 2 metal L-brackets, located at the rear of the headlamp. The L-brackets are located on the left and right rear of the headlamp. Pull the tabs towards the engine and up, there is a notch on the L-bracket which holds it down. After puling both L-brackets out the headlamp assembly can be removed. To install is the a problem, you can loosen the headlamp alignment screw and this will make it easier to re-insert the L-Bracket, but you will need to re-align the assembly. Be careful because the plastic mounts on the headlamp break easily with pressure and are difficult to align back in. If the alignment screws are not moved then you have to force the assembly back into place and re-insert the L-Bracket. Conclusion- if you're not mechanical don't do it. Second the Pontiac Mechanical engineer who deigned this clearly has a relative in the parts department because the plastic headlamp assemblies break easily.

How do you replace the headlight of a 2003 Pontiac Aztek?

Pry the white 'tab' from the w/ screwdriver, the tab will pop up about half of an inch. Tab should pop right up and head lamp pull out pretty good. When putting headlight assy. back in to place, align the headlamp up to holes behind the assy. Push on the headlamp and push tab down, and that should be it.AnswerThere is a white plastic piece that you will see if you open the hood of the car and look behind where the headlight is. You then pull up on this piece which releases the headlight. The headlight will come out of the front of the car, then you take off the rubber piece on the back. A turn of the bulb will have the bulb out and ready to be replaced.Answer(add to above) If you pull up the white tab too far, the headlight won't release, so just pull it up about 1/2 inch. You'll feel it "click". The headlamps are common types that you can find at any auto store. The INSIDE SET (brights) are part number 9005 and the OUTSIDE SET (regular) are part number 9006. I found them right under the front counter displays at Auto Zone.yes to above, add -pry lower inside corner of headlamp assembly loose, then pry forward on headlamp assembly with one hand, while dithering the loosened white tab vertically with your other hand. You will find the proper vertical position of the white tab by feel and the headlamp will pop right out.
