For front struts: Jack up your car and secure it on jackstands and get underneath the car and look to see where the lower part of the stut bolts behind the rotor. take out that bolt and then go to the top of the strut tower (in engine bay) and take off those nuts( its best to use an impact wrench to take these on and off. Or go buy the special strut tool. After that bolt is out you should be able to maneuver the strut out of place. Repeat that for the other side.

For Rear Struts: Make sure your cars jacked up in the back and secured on jackstands. Then pop your trunk and you will have to move the carpet out of the way to get at the rear stut towers. Do the same thing as in the first by going under the car and taking out that bolt in the strut mount. Then go to the top and take out that bolt for the top strut mount. Maneuver strut out of place. Repeat for other side as well.

For removing springs from struts: USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN REMOVING SPRINGS!!!!!! You will need to either go to your local auto parts store and rent a spring compressor. Or what i would recommend is take the whole strut and spring assembly to a local auto garage and have them remove them since they are experienced. Have them put your springs on your new struts as well while you are there. it shouldn't cost much money and you will be sure it was done correctly.

Installation is the reverse of Removal. Mkae sure you torque the bolts to the specified amount. Im not sure what it is, maybe like 35-40 ft/lbs. don't quote me on that though.

      • I am not responsible for anything you do regarding this post. This is what i did to replace my springs. If anything goes wrong while you are attempting to do this its not my fault.***
