2001-2003 Honda Civics with 4 speed auto trannys are prone to 100% tranny failure as they reach 100k miles, use Google to get current info as it unfolds :) to help avoid tranny failure always let the car idle for a minute or two after driveing up steep hills before shutting them off to let the converter cool- also drain and refill the auto tranny fluid every 30k miles using Honda fluid. Drain by removing the drain bolt by the front passanger tire, measure what comes out- its normally 3.2 US quarts. Tighen bolt to service manuel specs and refill the tranny while being carefull not to knock dirt into the fill hole as you remove the rubber fill cap.
There is a ton of info out there, just use good ol' Google

No it will not interchange. You need an Accord transmission from a 1990-1993.
The Honda automatic transmission is filled through the transmission dipstick hole.
Honda Automatic transmissions use an internal filter that is designed for the life of the transmission. It is extremely rare that one would have to be changed. Also do not do a power flush on a Honda transmission as it will ruin the internal seals.
