The lowbeam bulb replacement does require removal of the housing. There are 4 short bolts-one on top, and 3 on back (all 10mm socket) that need to be removed to pull the housing straight forward to access the lowbeam bulb. It is also helpful to remove the air filter compartment to access the 2 lower nuts on the headlight housing. Don't pull the housing out to quick as the lamp socket will still be attached to the headlight housing.
How do I change the low beam bulb in a gmc sierra 2005?
You can access the low beam headlight bulb from the engine compartment. Push the bulb holder in and turn. The bulb will come out.
9005 high beam and 9006 low beam.
I have a 2000 and I had to take 3 nuts off the back of the head light and 1 off the top. Then the head light comes out the front and you remove the bulb. This is for the low beam bulb. The high beam bulb can be removed without removing the nuts.Hope this helps some and good luck
Change the whole headlamp bulb. Should be a H4.
You need to change the light bulb, the high and low beam on some vehicles are contained in a single bulb. or you could have a bad connection on just that one light
