Remove the drain plug (on the front side of the oil pan), drain the oil
about 8" or so (going from memory) behind the drain plug there's a black cap, undo that, and that's where your oil filter is located...it's a cartridge rather than a canister which threw me off at first, but it's a very nice car to do an oil change on, almost don't have to even jack it up
The above answer is one of about 100 that are totally frustrating!!! "there's a black cap, undo that, and that's where your oil filter is located"..
The easiest way to remove that cap is with a swivel oil filter wrench(the metal kind) wrap it around tighten and turn, once it's loose just undo by hand. no special too required, I've done quite a few oil changes on mine and this has always worked

where is the crank sensor located on a 2002 Oldsmobile intrigue 3.5
2002 was the last model year that Oldsmobile Intrigues were produced. The Intrigue was the first Oldsmobile to end production in the process of phasing out the Oldsmobile brand. The last Intrigue rolled off the factory floor in June of 2002.
There is NO cabin air filter on this year..
In my 2002 Intrigue, the cabin filter is under the black plastic covering the wiper mechanics on the passenger side. It has been a while, but the wiper arm has to be removed and the plastic plate going across has to be raised slightly to reach the filter.
Bottom of the engine

Check your battery cables. I had same issue
