On my 1993 Lumina, thas has a 3100 V6, you can remove the bolts from the top engine mounts at the ends connected to the engine. Then, tilt the engine toward the front of the car and put one or both of the bolts into the hole on the bottom of the engine mount. This will hold the engine in it's tilted position (that's what those holes in the mounts are for). A pry bar is used to tilt the engine forward by putting the pry bar into the engine lift eye and pulling toward the front of the car (use a good pry bar, because you have to pull fairly hard and a small pry bar could just bend). With the engine tilted, you have enough room to get to those spark plugs on the firewall side of the engine without too much trouble.
They are on the left, right, and rear of the block.
CHange the spark plugs from the bottom of the engine. Hope we've pointed you in the right direction.
Spark Plugs on a LuminaSee the related questions to the right. HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE SPARKS PLUGS ON A 1993 CHEVY LUMINA APV 3.8L 231-V6 ENGINE (an van)
unplug the wires and swap, its very simple. plugs are located on the left side of the engine, to the right of the battery.
To change the spark plugs, the ones on the left side (driver's side) of the engine are accessible from the top of the engine under the hood. The plugs on the right side (passenger side) are accessible by pulling the right front wheel and removing the rubber dust cover (pops off) that attaches to the fenderwell. This is assuming that you have a 5.0L V8 engine (302ci). Have Fun!!!
There is an arm bolted right in the center front of the engine. Remove the bolt and the engine will tilt forward.
the freeze plugs are right under the exhausts and on the back of the block
you can use ngk or Bosch it will perform very good, but please don't change the spark plugs when the engine is still hot because it will smoke
There are freeze plugs on the left, right, and rear.
The spark plugs are on the front and back of a V6 (back ones are tough to get to) L4 right in front. Turn the engine off and take off the spark wires unscrew the plugs
You may bolts on left side cover to access spark plug. The plugs are located on the bottom sides of the engine.
the transmition ,is probably not adjusted to the spark plugs,or their not the right spark plugs
