depends on which engine it has. If it is 3.4L Twin Dual Overhead Cam version the engine is very tight against firewall. The engine mounting leg on top of the engine has to be removed and install a special jack in its place to jack the engine away from firewall, essentially rocking the engine forward so a skinny hand can reach down behind the back bank of spark plugs.
You can also unbolt the two top engine mounts. After doing so pull the mounts back. Reinstall the left bolt in the mount bracket. Using a crow bar on the left bolt pry the engine forward just far enough to install the right side bolt into the second hole on the right mount. This will hold the engine forward and you can then get to the back side of engine. (Note: this is on the 3.1L engine)
don't have my manuel how many spark plugs are there in a 1997 cutlass supreme oldsmobile. need to change them all v6 engine. what is the best brand to buy thank you
engine has to be raise of lowed or sometimes removeing the engine. it better to take to shop.
They are screwed into each head. Follow the plug wires.
I have a 1991 Cutlass Supreme and I had to use a flex ratchet to replace the back 3 plugs. Other than that I was told by a mechanic friend that the motor has to come out to do this.
6 spark plugs
oil on the spark plugs is generally due to broken ring or rings in the cylinder or cylinders can also lead to a blown engine
It's on the rear valve cover. The easiest way to change it is to pull off the alternator. It's also the easiest way to change the rear spark plugs and wires.
all depends if it's a 6cyl. or a v8.
diesling is caused by bad spark plugs
its a 02 sensor it measures the oxygen coming out of your engine
The 1991 Cutlass Cierra came standard with a 4 cylinder engine. This would require 4 spark plugs to tune up the engine.
Unless it has a diesel engine, yes it has points (could be electronic) and spark plugs.
