On a 3.5L engine first disconnect the negative battery cable. (2) Loosen the pulleys and remove V-belt & A/C belt..note: the pulley located on timing cover must be removed. It has three bolts which are of different sizes, make sure you don't mix these bolts up. (3) Remove Harmonic balancer with removal kit. (4) Remove timing belt cover. You will see that the water pump is pulled by the timing belt. BE VERY CAREFUL YOU DO NOT TAKE THE ENGINE OUT OF TIME. If you mistakenly rotate a sprocket, you must realign the timing marks to prevent rod damage. (5) Loosen tensioner and remove timing belt. (6) Remove water pump. Clean surface of block face and disgard old o-ring. (7) Install new pump & o-ring...note: it is a good idea to replace timing belt as they should be changed every 100 thousand miles. (8) Install new thermostat. (9) Reinstall everything the way you took it apart. (10) Refill coolant.

If you have a 2.7L, then yes. That is the water pump weep hole.
2 hours to 7 hours, depends on the engine size.
/ Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine; the thermostat is in there. Follow the top radiator hose down to the water outlet on the engine; the thermostat is in there.
On the 3.5 intrepid engine, the water pump is run by the timing "belt"- no timing chain on this motor. Not sure about the 3.3 motor. On the 3.3L the water pump is driven by the serpentine belt.
