You have to take off the rotors and calipers to get to the bearing then you probably need a heat gun to soften up the bolts to take them off

How do you change the front wheel bearings on a 1990 Toyota Camry and how can you tell if they really need to be changed?

Your front bearings are sealed and are replaced only when they become noisy. A badly worn bearing will roar at speeds above 40mph and will change pitch somewhat as you change from lane to lane due to the side load that is placed on it. Tire noise (due to tires that need rotation) is sometimes mistaken for a worn bearing.

How do you change the front left wheel bearing in a 1990 Mercury Topaz?

start by taking the wheel off then take off the caliper. After take the rotor off. Then there is a nut with a pin through it, take the pin out and undo the nut. Now the hub will come off and one bearing will come out. With a hamer and a punch drive out the other bearing and the grease seal. You should change the races as well(the serface the bearings ride on inside the hub. You will meed it buy wheel bearing grease and pack the new bearings with grease. You can never use enough grease the more the better. Repeat the process in reverse to reinstall. If you have any more Questions E-mail me at reese_koch@hotmail.com
