You can check glow plugs with an ohm meter. should be <1ohm
The fuel injectors on the Ford Escape are located on the top of the motor at the center of the engine compartment. You can test the injectors using an ohm meter.
OHM meter
you use an ohm meter
An ohm meter doesn't put out enough voltage, you need to use a megger.
Remove the fuse and check it with a ohm meter. If you have no ohm meter then just replace it with a new fuse.
Check the fuel injectors with a ohm meter to see if they all are firing correctly. Also, check the spark plug, wires, and distrubuter and rotor. If all of these are ok check the 02 sensor.
Check it for continuity with an OHM meter.
Get some resistors of known values and check your meter with them.
Check it with an OHM meter for continuity.
Remove the fuse and check it with an ohm meter.
2.9 ohms is nominal. To check the resistance remove the IDM module and probe the connector with an ohm meter. Do not pierce the wires. The injectors are activated with around 100 volt pulses. Cut or pierced wires will leak current and cause injector drop out, or IDM failure.
if you have an ohm meter you can put it to the imput and out put on coil and kick it. it depends on size but it should be from 8 to 14 ohm
