How can you tell if your 93 Pontiac Bonneville is supercharged or not?

1. There will be a supercharger sitting on top of the engine...it's hard to miss because the supercharger will be the first thing you see in the middle under the hood it sits on top of the engine or 2. Check the VIN Supercharged models start with the number 1 Non-Supercharged models start with the letter L or 3. Check the emblems on the car SSEi models are always supercharged SSE models will have Supercharged emblems on the front doors (if you don't have them then its not supercharged not all SSEs are) SE models are never supercharged or lastly 4. Check the dashboard gauges Supercharged models will have a "boost" guage on the far right of the instrument cluster....that guage monitors the air pressure in the supercharger Non supercharged models will have a voltometer which measures the battery's output or if you don't have either well then its a base model with pretty much nothing so it obviously wont have one

Where can one buy supercharged cars?

Over the years, many cars starting with the Duesenberg were available with a supercharger. Currently no supercharged are being built, so one would have to check CarMax, eBay Motors, Auto Trader or Craigslist online or local used car lots to find a used car. Alternately, one can purchase a kit and supercharge the car of one's choice.

How do you Check supercharger fluid?

If it uses engine oil for lubrication then there is no maintenance other than changing your engine oil and filter at a regular interval. I recommend 3,000 miles on a Supercharged car which uses engine oil for lubrication. If on the other hand it has a self contained lubrication system, then you need to read the owners manual or go to the manufacturer's web site.

Do you need to change or check the oil in the supercharger on a 1993 Pontiac Bonneville SSE?

Yes, I would highly recommend it. The supercharger uses a speical oil called, "Supercharger Oil." You can get this oil from GM, however it does cost around $8-$12 a bottle. The oil should be check every 3000 miles and changed out once it smells bad or looks dirty.
