There is a plug on the side of the tranny. take it out. If fluid runs out, put the plug back in the hole and get on with life.
If no fluid runs out, check your manual for what transmission fluid to use. Fill it till it runs out at the plug a bit.
Be sure to use the Transmission Fluid recommended for Chevy S10 5 speed manual transmissions.

it should be checked or added with every oil change. You will need gear oil for a manual tranny. you will find the plug somewhere on the tranny.
pull the tranny dipstick out and check the level.
If it is a manual, YOU DONT HAVE ONE. Because you dont need to check the tranny fluid unless you have a leak, at which time you should be on your way to a mechanic

if you look at the front of your tranny. there will be a plug 15/16 big take it out and tranny fluid should come out. if not use a Allen key to put in the hole.
remove the speedometer cable where in enters the tranny and that is where you check/fill
it will be on the tranny its self if manual there will be a plug for adding and drining the fluid.
under the truck, on the side passenger side of the transmission case is a screw-in bolt for check/fill
