This will depend on the make, model, engine, and the problem. You might try asking a more specific question and including the year, make (GM, Ford, Dodge, Nissan, Toyota, Land Rover, Jeep, Mitsubishi?), and engine (4-cylinder, inline 6, V6, V8?).
It doesn't have an Egr valve. It doesn't have an Egr valve.
A bad EGR valve in a 2000 Saturn can have several symptoms. The EGR valve can cause misfires, the valve can cause vacuum leak style problems. There could also be an engine knock.
If you have less than 80,000 on it read below. Occasional problems on this vehicle are failures of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Passages and the EGR valve (3.0L V6 engine only). Honda has extended the warranty on problems related to the EGR System to 8 years or 80,000 miles.
Possibly other systems connected to the egr valve are faulty. You may need to have a professional diagnose the problem, rather than replacing parts.
Yes no problems, you have to make up a blanking plate to bypass the egr
it will cause pinging running your combustion hotter
How to Diagnose a Bad EGR Cooler: This method is easy to do and is a good "test" if you have any of the three symptoms above. To do this test, turn off your rig. When its all cooled down, remove the EGR valve (between your alternator and oil filter - it looks like a 7-ounce beer can with wires going to it) and look inside with a flash light. If it looks wet, gooey or steam cleaned, then you probably have EGR cooler problems.
The EGR valve is located at the front of the h22a4 engine. The EGR valve is right beside of the front of the EGR valve.
That would depend on what problems you are having, or what codes you pulled. But I would say the egr valve would be next if it is egr related problems based on what you changed already.
Yes, the EGR valve, or port EGR
Either there is no Voltage or Vacume going 2 the Valve OR the Passagway under the Valve is Blocked. Clean the EGR Line with carb cleaner to ensure not any blockage. If you are referring to the check engine light and are still receiving a code indicating EGR valve, then the problem is that the EGR valve is being effected by the problem. The EGR valve is not the problem, it is just the component that is being effected. Code readers only tell you the effected part, not necessarily the bad part. This is one of the big problems with autozone's free diagnostics, you get what you pay for.
There is NOT an EGR valve on this engine.
