First use a scan tool to check for the trouble code, I assume you have already done this. The most common codes are for leaks, gas caps being left off is the main culprit. Make sure the gas cap seal is in good shape and tight. Next inspect all the EVAP hoses from the engine to the fuel tank for cracks or being disconnected. If the problem was not found it may be time for the repair shop. EVAP smoke testing can be done to pinpoint the evaporative leak.
